I think you are missing the point.

Personified has a deep understanding of these figures. They are part of her native heritage and her practiced faith. Their origin has nothing to do with Dragon magic and the elements as you are discussing it. They have only been smashed into the concept of dragon magic, much like many other such entities where dragon magic is discussed at all.

Perhaps you should consider that you are the one that lacks an understanding of these entities. Personified has explained to you that they have nothing to do with dragon magic and such practices. You are referring to sites that basically restate the same concepts that are more imagination that historical tradition.

Sorry, about that. I was just posting my opinions. I didn't mean to go against her ideas. Besides I know a little about this stuff two. I put what I knew. Some of us aren't as knowledgeable as others.

I'm aware. And there is nothing wrong with stating your opinion. However, if you wish to learn you have to open your mind to concepts that might disprove the ideas you started with, and learn to research and explore things as far as you are able.

Joshua_demon, I appreciate the advice. My interest in dragons lies in the chaos and Tiamat paths.

Personified, I apologize for the confusion. I left the links in case anyone was interested in looking to that elemental path, not to explain any information to you. The most I really know of the path is that it appears to be an off shoot of other dragon paths that appear to use dragons as elements and many appear to like it.

Many do appear to like it. However I've never encountered any dragon magic that did not stem from DJ Conway and UPG, or resources that did not borrow from other traditions and a fundamental misunderstanding of mythology.

Dragons were never physical beings and saying you're associated with Chinese dragons because one aspect of your Chinese astrology chart is like saying that I'm associated with Monkey spirits (which I'm not). In essence - you're missing the point of astrology if you take one aspect out of it and twist its meaning. That's what Personified and AwakeTooLong were getting at with Nidhogg being distorted by DJ Conway in the first place.
