Nebethetepet you make some interesting points. As I said, the Egyptian religion has been rather fluid in its history. I have never studied Kemetic traditions, but I understood that they were a bit different from the actual temple texts and inscriptions. Nothing wrong with that. The G.D. Egyptian godforms aren't wholly correct according to the historical texts as well. But, as long as they work that is all that matters. I agree completely about Budge. Only a fool would use his translations, and none of mine come through him. As far as the other points you make, I will pass them on to my cousin who is an Egyptologist. I am sure she will be most interested to hear them. Thank you for your input.

BUT you're right in that I should look for credible sources. I could try looking it up. I don't remember the documentary saying WHY exactly the phallus was important; to be honest, that's something I learned from the discussion here.
