Yes, they stopped getting roles when the TV show 'Charmed' ended.

I think the elders should come back. Charmed is fantasy. I think the elders should come back. They could help bring sense and reality to people.

As far as I am aware the concept of these so called elders is fantasy, unless you can provide me with information I clearly do not have.

I thought you meant the people who teach us. If it's a fantasy type then they don't exist. A elder in my opinion is a person that is knowledgable.

There are many churches that have "Elders", Mormons, for instance. But I suppose I am an Elder, because so far as I am concerned it means "old".
And, boy, do I feel old!

If you mean that how the whole concept of elders being respected for their wisdom and looked up to for advise has diminished overtime? Are yo refering to specifically this site in a way? Some cultural reference of some kind? Some magical path reference? The watchers? The immortals? You say you need to undestand the question to know the answer but i don't think anyone will because you leave no clues to what you mean by elders. You put this in misc topics and you leave no clues to what you mean.I think i migt actually have an idea about what you're talking about some how but you need to leave some form of hint.

I think elder means someone who is very knowledgable, and helps people. Also brysing that makes you an elder. I don't think they have to be old to be a elder.

That is what elders mean, but this implies the elders have gone somewhere which to me suggests they are some sort of supernatural being.

There are elders everywhere! Seek and ye shall find!

Hadit is correct. They didn't 'go away', they just don't preach to the masses anymore. Look and you will find them. In larger covens there's a council of senior members who are there to teach and help the coven with smaller issues.

Do you mean people like Scott Cunningham, Aleister Crowley, Doreen Valiente, Gerald Gardner and so on? They died. They were the people who brought witchcraft to the masses [Cunningham was a second wave technically] but they died. There's still notable authors who do their best to guide new members, but its not as big for two reasons. One, the market is saturated with books on the subject, so there really isn't a 'one and only' like there was 50+ years ago. Second, Lark wrote a very interesting article on the subject of 'The Elders' where she made the point, they stopped helping everyone because the majority 'know everything' and the attitude has made them go away, letting you come to them. They aren't considered wise for nothing.

Personally, we have elders to speak to. Not naming names but I'm sure you can make your own list of people on this site who are very knowledgeable. They may not teach, but if you are stuck they will help. [Normally forums because they are busy but try messaging them] just be sure you've tried first. Asking 'The Elders' something like 'which element is associated with wealth' might be better for the all knowing elder Google.
