Interpretations

Most wiccans interpret the moon as the goddess and the sun as the god, at least according to wikipedia. I interpret mother earth as the goddess and the sky as the the god. Am i still a wiccan if i have a different interpretation?

Do not rely on Wikipedia too much! Wiccans, as do most witches, honour the Sun and Moon, together with water, because they are the creators of Life! But of course, Mother Earth is important, too!

Personally, I would say so. Of course it all depends on whether you identity as Wiccan

Actually most Wiccans view the moon as a symbol of the Goddess, not the Goddess herself. Nor is the God viewed as a sun God. Rather he is viewed as the Horned Lord of the animals and of the wild places. The God and Goddess are immanent in all creation, so they are present both in the earth we live on and also in the heavens above.

Be very cautious using Wikipedia as a reference on Wicca. It is full of misinformation on the subject.

if you feel a connection with the triple goddess and horned god then yes. the goddess can be seen as the earth, how it blooms and gives life. if you still follow everything else and feel you are wiccan then yes. i guess to be technical you would be considered eclectic.

Not everyone has the same connection or sight of the gods, as say other's do. This does not make you any less than a wiccan. It's your connection to the gods that make you wiccan, and that makes up the religion.

If you feel connected to say the triple goddess who can be known as Hecate, Diana, Artemis, Brigid, Morgan, and ect then go for it. We all have a different view of deity, it's your veiw that makes it right for you and Only you!!

Also don't rely on Wikipedia, a lot of info is false. Anyone can make a post on wikipedia but it doesn't mean it's right.
