When there is no activity and there are a lot of coven's sometime Pet says it's time for them to retire, so they are no longer to be applied to and inhabited.

I have another question regarding covens: why are they high priestesses that are new to magic or high priests that are female?
Are there no gender and amount of experience requirements on these two? ^
Just curious, cause I was looking through few covens on here

Covens are generally ran by Priest (boy) and Priestess (girl), sometimes people that want to be Priest or Priestess can change their gender on here and it will let them because a Priest (girl) or Priestess (boy).

Also know that many members that are Priestess and or Priest are recognized for their knowledge, if a person applied for Priestess or Priestship for a coven and Pet chooses them, they have knowledge. Now most members here that run covens have been here for a long while. Now, none of them are surely "new" to magic, as they have proven themselves worthy to run a coven.

Thank you for the answer.
It was one coven specifically, I did see that the female Priest I was mentioning had written on her profile that she's new to magic..

It is unlikely that all of the covens will retire. If Petrarca feels that new leadership is needed to reopen a coven then he will choose someone new to lead it.

Like Lark said, I doubt that he will shut down the "Group" feature, I can imagine if he is going to shut down SoM, he would slowly take away feature, but I don't think he will. This site is to valuable and great.

So in words, he probably won't shut down (retire) all the covens on this site. The covens are also apart of attracting new members to this site.
