Dragons

When i was around 8, i started to imagine a dragon. He wasn't too large (maybe 6 feet at the shoulders) , long necked, and had a long tail with a sharp point at the end. His scales were a beatufil ruby color with his underbelly a light red. He had emerald green eyes with a single horn towards the end of his snout. He was bold, brave, kind, protective, and caring. He would comfort me to sleep every night and always look out for me. Ever since then, i have imagined more dragon friends. Now, im not sure if they were "imagined", or more as they were already real and came to protect me in my time of need( as this was a depresssing part of my life). I have also come to communicate with the Great Elemental Dragons. Any advice or teachings will be greatly appreciated.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on if these dragons could've already existed or not.

Could be. In my experience, imagination never pulls something out of nowhere. Even if the form came from like watching a paleontology documentary or reading an illustrated Arthurian legend, the "spirit" of the thing, the attitudes that it has... could be conveyed through the form. Then imagination isn't necessarily creating that, but accessing/channeling it. Or something between creation and access.
