Well honestly in the old ways yes, but now it's a belief that is a leading to no. It's up to you, but it's true. The rede specifically states that you can't harm anything, including yourself.
Bloodshed is not valued, nor is it needed. A special offering like an apple or leaf is pleasure for the gods. Remember are gods have the whole world as a offering, they don't need blood.
However it's your choice, but ask yourself if it's necessary, and ask yourself why you want to do this. Also if your not wicca it's okay but it still is classified as harming.
There is only a couple times when this is allowed. Some do this when they initate into the craft to show that it is an oath. But no, most of the time it's frowned upon unless you like do ''black magic'' which is just a color. Your choice, your life, you want. This is my view and opinion bro!
Now, I am not a big fan of blood magic, but as said blood is potent in magic, now if you are a minor (under the age of 18+) then you could get into trouble with parentals or be sent into a suicide clinic. In blood magic, you must be careful this is because we have a lot of main blood vessels and if we puncture one, we die.

There are no strictures in Wicca against the use of your own blood in spells or rituals. In general this involves no more than pricking a finger with a sterile needle and pressing out one or two drops of blood for ritual use. This isn't considered harming yourself in any way, diabetics do this all the time to monitor their blood sugar. Using one of your body fluids, and especially one tied to the concept of your life itself is a powerful adjunct to any magical working and makes the working uniquely tied to you. It isn't something I would use carelessly or often, but for something that is truly imortant it is something to be considered.
