A strange dream

I often have vivid dreams, and I try not to share them for fear of annoying people. But, for the first time this particular dream recurred. Both dreams are identical.

I'm in my apartment when I hear people outside screaming and gasping. I rush outside, it's dark out, and my best friend is there (my best friend is someone I've never met, but have been close with for ten years). I run over to him and ask what's happening. He doesn't say anything, and I follow his gaze. In the sky, the moon is full, and breaking apart. I gasp, and my friend jumps behind me and holds me in place by the shoulders. I watch as the moon breaks apart covering my face. It's LOUD (I know that's probably impossible). One chunk comes flying towards Earth, and whizzes by while everyone around us are freaking out (it doesn't hit the Earth). The dream ends with me thinking, "What's going to happen with part of the moon missing?"

The dream doesn't frighten me, I'm very fascinated by it. But I can't figure out what it all means. Anyone have any ideas? Also, I just wanted to chat about it; it's pretty cool, right?!

Yeah, I know! I often have vivid dreams because when I wake up I lay in bed for ohhhh... an hour? Just reflecting on my dreams (and thinking about how I'd rather go back to sleep than go to school), lol

This depends on what the moon means to you.

It could represent disillusionment, or no longer being able (or needing) to keep up appearances/defenses, or an old emotional issue in this life re-surfacing for resolution, or a memory from a past life or between-life, or if could just be inspiration granted to you.

It is pretty cool, yeah, on its own, so it doesn't have to mean anything necessarily ; )

Probably a vision. Did anything seem super unrealistically shiney or echoey? If not I'd guess vision. Visions arent always 100% accurate so dont worry about that exactly happening. chances are its not going to happen for a few years if it is a vision

Don't forget it could also depend on our actions like in the Men in Black 3 movie how it expanded on different timelines and how even the smallest of actions had big inpacts (such as WIll Smith drinking milk chocolate in the morning could've destroyed the earth or something like that)

The moon actually DOES mean a lot to me. When I was a teen, I witnessed something very spiritual. I was watching the moon, waiting for my mom to come out of the house so we could head to work, and I suddenly closed my eyes and envisioned a silver thread connecting me to the moon. I felt a "twang" and when I opened my eyes the clouds were moving QUICKLY. I watched as it molded into all kinds of things, like a dragon head, an old timey ship, and so on. A body formed below the clouds, but I couldn't tell what sex it was (looked like a body under a white sheet). I remember looking away and blinking a lot before turning back, thinking it might go away if I did this, and it was still happening. My mother called me, I ran inside and told her to come out and see this, and when I came out, it was gone. No matter how hard I try, I can't get it to happen again. But I long to see it one more time...

It was "echoey" actually. I commented that it was "loud." The loud sounds were echoing!
