I just went to your other post and read your responses there, it might have been better to keep all of this in one thread for consistency, but that's your call I guess. The fact that you do hallucinate but for some reason your psychiatrist thinks James is real is very odd to me. It sounds like he/she is trying to help you just have one hallucination. It could seem more real because it's more focused. I don't want to doubt the reality of James, as I know such things are real. But I also know that sometimes they are not. I can not say if he is real or just a focused hallucination, as I do not know you (or James). I am concerned about how much you seem to want him to be real. I still stand by what I said above, but I wanted to add that you should work more with your psychiatrist and look less for advice online. I'm not trying to be hurtful or offensive, I'm just worried about your over all health. No one here has your full story and even if someone here claimed to be a psychiatrist, there would be no way to verify it. Please be careful with this. You don't want someone undoing all the work your psychiatrist has done. Again, I'm not saying not to post anything, or not to ask questions, but you should listen to your therapist first and foremost.

"I am concerned about how much you seem to want him to be real."

I agree with this 100%. The need for reassurance is a bit much. I've been interacting with spirits my entire life, at first unknowingly, then unwillingly, and then later willingly. I know I'm not crazy because said spirits have told me things that I would have otherwise never known, and this has been going on since I was 7 years old.

I don't doubt that James exists. I am concerned about the mental health of the OP however. Sure, spirits exist. Sure, they can be great aids, guardians, friends, etc. They can also be malicious (but if he has saved her than obviously this is not the case). However, they're just like any other person. When you begin obsessing about any one person in your life, it's unhealthy. It doesn't matter if they're living, dead, ascended, deity, what have you. Balance is essential. And if the OP has a psychiatrist to ask to begin with, obviously there are issues to be treated.

The spirits that do that are usually called "poltergeists" which means "noisy ghost" in German, kind of a misnomer because they don't just make noise, obviously, they move stuff around (and make noise).

But that's just our word for it, us in the material, physical, living world. Our label. For anything that fits the description. Whether it's a ghost of a telekinetic psion, guardian angel, alien with a tractor beam, Duke of the 7th Circle of Hell according to The Lesser Key of Solomon...bah, the otherworld is just weird. I just go forget about classification because that's like metaphysically racist or something.

Just pray and meditate to see a guardian angel. You can also fast, like 24 hours or less. It's really just a matter of opening your eyes, they are always there.

I really believe you should learn defensive magic,if he is a trickster, when discovered,he can attack you or go away,be aware of what surround you and doubt anything he say, search and confirm all the data he give to you.Sounds like paranoia but can save your life.If you can feel his energy, try to sense treachery or bad intentions, feel if he is safe to be close. Many spirits are harmless and can be good to have as friends, but as with people:you really would allow a stranger to enter and live in your home knowing nothing about him?
