Energy is everywhere, in everything. I draw up energy from Mother Earth for casting, as do most I know but I have a friend that swears by drawing energy from the sun, the moon and the stars depending on her spell.

Energy is everything. We see things because they vibrate at our mollecular frequency. To draw an analogy, UV rays, Radio waves, and Ultrasonic rays are forms of energy; and they exist, although we can't see them. Magick works in that same way. ^^
I hope this helped you.

Namaste.

I am a natural witch. I do not cast spells. Wiccans do that, not natural witches. There are no spells in natural witchcraft. Many years ago when, I was a young boy, long before Wicca existed, I asked my witch teacher,"What, exactly, is magic?".
She said,
"Magic is the knowledge of the few, for the benefit of the many."
To her, Radio was magic; television; heart surgery, eye surgery, organ transplants. And the many "miracles" of Horticulture and Agriculture.
We are now writing to each other via the internet. Is THAT not magic?

Excited, anyone can learn how to harness and channel the energy that surrounds us. Some are born with an inherent abilities (can see/ hear spirits, can see the future in a limited way, and even astrally project) in them, but like a knife, these abilities can be honed and sharpened. We all must learn to make this a reality. Magick is part study and research, and part practise, but anyone can do it!

I have been able to control the wind since I was a child and I started studying for only a years now. I believe you can be born with this as a gift.

Mary, of course you may disagree! Many do!
Dante, you cannot control the wind; nobody can; it's an illusion.

I didn't say that only Wiccans cast spells. I said Wiccans do, and natural witches do not! There are many non-Wiccans who cast spells. There were people casting spells long before Wicca!
There are people in the world who cast spells, who have never heard of Wicca! A hundred years ago Wicca did not exist!
Many years ago, even natural witches like me, did indeed cast spells; and they had a spiritual "side" just as Wiccans do now. But we have moved on.We no longer believe in the old Gods and Goddesses. But we do not condemn those who do believe in them!
