As for the latter, no one really knows what happens to your consciousness after you die.

it's probably one of the greatest mysteries ever to face mankind, because it boils down to the question of whether consciousness exists inside of outside of the mind.

I could get into that more, although if I did, we would probably be debating this for hours, and honestly, my friend, I need to get some sleep.

So yes I do have some assumptions that I believe to be plausible.
Although, I am an open minded fellow, and if there were more scientific studies on the phenomenon of consciousness, that could conclusively disprove what I am saying, I would happily change my position.

From a logical standpoint agnosticism makes the most sense, because we cannot truly know, at least not at this point.

And although I do not claim to be a true agnostic since I do have some ideas, (call them educated guesses) about life and death, in the end neither you, nor my self will truly "Know" until we perish, and as you said, "Become one with the earth" (I Paraphrased that last quote a little, but you get the jest).

When we "perish" we will know nothing. We only "know" when we are alive.

This "idea" is completely unrealistic and is not even worthy of being discussed intellectual or philosophically. Your astral body can not be severed from your physical body until the death of the physical body. One can not leave their current physical body in a vegetative state and enter a new physical body. Not to mention the astral body of the other physical body will be inside or attached to the physical one even at the moment of conception.

The author of the original post even admits this is concept is impossible however wants intelligent people to "form an intellectual and potentially philosophical discussion".

Why would anyone want to waste what precious time they have for study and practice on a concept that is so ridiculous. This site is not a debate site or for impossible magical theory discussion. This site is for learning actual practice not fluff such as this.
