allright. thanks for that. I've always been "different" so people will always laugh at me for one thing or another, but it's good to know that I'm not really in any danger.

Watch who you tell. While countries like America don't have people being killed for witchcraft, people are still being killed in other parts of the world. In America [for example] you can face a lot of discrimination. Tell friends and family if you feel they will understand, but don't tell random strangers to be safe. It's no ones business but your own what you belief.

simple thing is they won't kill you if they catch you, not unless the rest of your family have practiced and they have it out for you specificly ... my family has many practitioners and i have had ancestors killed in the past (not my life time) and molested (recently)

be careful who you tell, if you practice white most won't even care but the dark stuff like summoning grinds there gears ... in australia there are small communities still

Nekoshema is correct. While I have seen news reports about witch killings in the U.S. They are rare and almost nonexistent. However outside the U.S. there are still with hunts occuring on a daily basis. In south america and africa especially, as far as I've heard. So, It would be best to take caution in the presence of religious fanatics.

While in more civilized countries like US and Great Britain there's really no worry in being "hunted" unless you take to digging up graves or other things that would be seen as breaking the law. Then they'll come after you but more for the law than actually practicing.

Yet in other countries around the word, Africa and the Middle East especially, people are still being killed because they're "witches". I put it in quotes because most people see these attacks as shams against people. It's usually against a woman and is actually covering up something else. It's appalling the treatment of women in those regions - witch or not.

What you have to worry about here is people thinking you're a bit crazy or that the Devil possessed you. If people give you trouble because of that, just keep quiet for a while. It'll pass.

Actualy in africa people arent being killed for being witches, infact in the most underdeveloped parts and tribes of africa they are highly respected, but there you could be killed for being wight (because they assume that wight people automatically have big money on them) there are some places in africa where witches are being hunted, but thats mostly where there is some connection to the aotside world because they get told that witches are bad, but in most of africas underdeveloped parts witches are highly respected, and many of the underdeveloped towns have a town shaman or witch or whatever who are the most respected people in the town for being healers or spirit contactors or whatever (you people who said that there witches are being hunted should take more of a intrest in what goes on in the rest of the world, it would be the same as if I said that all Americans are self centered lazy softies, where I am from thats a popular balive but I dont know that for myself so I don't tell that to people because I haven't checked for myself)

http://saharareporters.com/article/witch-killing-and-africans-leo-igwe

This is from February 2013 about killing a witches in different parts of Africa. It does still happen. While there is respect for shamans and witch doctors, it is still very much a part of their culture to place blame when things go wrong upon other people. You are correct about white people being seen as evil in Africa. My ex-husband was from there and told me stories about how when he went around for missionary work they would constantly try tribal practices of seeing whether or not he was evil. Once he was made to sleep in the room of masks because if he was evil, then the spirits would attack him. He said it was the most uncomfortable night he had.

And this article talks about women currently on death row in Saudi Arabia because they were convicted of performing sorcery against their employers.

While I agree that there is no such things as witch hunters, especially not in the movie sense, there are the rare instances of mentally unstable people that kill and use anothers witchcraft belief as the excuse for their crime. Believe me these rare cases are not witch hunters but mentally unstable people who would have killed their victims irregardless. Nothing to worry about out of the ordinary. :-)
