pagan is any polytheistic religion and/or does not follow the Judaic-Christian-Islamic God. therefore Buddhism, Hinduism, Druidism, Shinto, Taoism, and Wiccan [to name a few] would be considered Pagan.
Wicca was originally founded in the 50's by Gerald Gardner and has branched off from their. [he claims it's older, but that's where everyone starts from because we have evidence of a beginning] for the most part, Wiccans believe in the wheel of the year [a story told by the seasons and equinoxes through 8 holidays] a male and female deity, and a strong belief to do no harm.
some witches will call themselves pagan, but it's typically viewed at a category, not a religion. witches/pagans follow the seasons however unlike Wiccans they don't follow a strict 'harm none' rule. their morality is theirs to choose really, and while this doesn't mean witches go around cursing people, it does mean in self defence a pagan could [potentially] curse someone who has harmed them.
