maiden, mother, crone?

I'm 44 years old. I've noticed that a lot of our members are young. Okay I do not consider myself a maiden in an aspect of the word. I consider myself a newbie to the Craft because I have only been practicing magic for just a short time (maybe just over a year or so). I'm pretty much a quiet person and I know that a young mind is easily influenced. Now I've gotten off subject. I need input anyway.

Input in what? You started explaining and stopped short of asking a question. If you mean which aspect of the Triple Goddess you would connect with, it depends on the situation as well as the season [and moon phase if you go that route] but this stage in your life as a woman you would be connecting with the mother stage of the Goddess. Older than the maiden, so wiser in life, but not to the point of the crones wisdom. The Mother Goddess is caring and nurturing. Think motherhood.

Currently in the northern hemisphere anyway, the Goddess is in her maiden phase. It isn't until Lammas [roughly] that she would enter the mother phase.

I find this fascinating Novice and appreciate your input. Approximately what are the ages are we at each stage? Or, how long approximately does each stage last? Thank you.

It's a mental state, rather than an age, and it isn't a definite thing either~! If you feel more comfortable going by age, maiden is until you become pregnant, mother is until menopause, and menopause to death is crone. I find this unflattering and the mental stages are much nicer, although its rather difficult to identify thresholds.

You must remember that these are the three "ages"; young, middle age, old. They apply to life (both sexes) but also the seasons of the year. The idea of "trinity" is very old.

I'm on my phone, as I was when I first responded, so I try and keep my responses short and that might be confusing, but as I also said you didn't really ask a question so I wasn't sure how to answer.

People view the Goddess and God differently, and can get confusing to explain [especially when you want to keep things short] as the Wheel of the Year turns, the God and Goddess age, die, and are reborn though the year. If you wish to follow the Goddess this way, Imbolc just passed, she's recovered from birth [I see it as she is reborn but whatever] and is in her maiden stage. She will meet the God around Ostara and wed by Beltane. You can she her change as the snow melts, flowers bloom, and the days grow warm.

If you track the Goddess by the moon its the phase, the maiden is the waxing moon, the mother would be the full moon, and the crone is the waning moon. [Some people also view the new moon as the time before rebirth]

If you regard the Goddess in spell casting, each aspect is better for certain issues [if I remember correctly the maiden for love, mother for protection especially for children, and crone for divination.]

Lastly if you mean you connect with her at what stage if you're in your forties, it again depends on the issues facing you today, but as mentioned above younger woman before marriage and kids connect more with the maiden. Mothers and woman roughly 30-60 connect more with the mother and woman around retirement, grandparents, connect more with the crone. This isn't a set in stone rule, everyone's different, and it depends on many elements. The best idea for you is to sit and meditate, think of the Goddess and what she means to you, what she looks like, and how she acts.
