I would love to be anyone's friend here. I'm kind of new, I've been secretly practicing Wicca for I don't know how many years, but I'm just now deciding to really commit to what I've been doing, and it is frowned upon by my brother, even though my family isn't religious.
My parents don't approve of wicca either. They are catholic. I practice in secret, but sometimes the catch me and they yell insults at me. They say it's "devil's work" and "doesn't exist, an illusion" I would like to be your friend.
I think it's often easy for people to judge things they don't understand. you will find that people here will help you learn and grow and will accept you and befriend you. You are not alone... :)

Hi, I'm 16 this year too and I am completely new to this. I would like to be your friend, and would really appreciate any help in beginner magic. Thank you so much. :)My parents don't know about this but they wouldn't really kill me over it, they just don't believe in magic and say there is always an explanation for these things. I hope someone can guide me in this because I don't really know where to start! Also it's really difficult to find candles and magic aid stuff where I live. :/ so I'm probably going to have to start with basic energy spells, any advice?

I have the same problem. I can't really acces candles at home and my parents are clueless. They say magick isn't real, and that it's just science at work. I'm a new member and I need advice fast.
I totally understand you. I also keep it secret and only use playing cards for divination because I don't want to have to justify myself because of it. This only costs a lot of time and nerves. It took me two years until none talked about my esoteric believes anymore and everyone believed that I am an atheist and I will never ever tell it any not esoteric person anymore, this makes life too complicated there are better things to do than argumenting about spiritual believes.
