i am researching and preparing to make my first mojo bag for love. i read that i can keep it under my pillow for 21 days then offer it to a tree or crossroards. i also read that it must remain unseen and untouched. does that mean by me or by others? i am worried if i put it under my pillow and i have some1 sleep over they might feel it in the pillow so i would have to take it out....so my question is can i see and touch my own mojo bag or no? also what are the best ingredients to use for love?
I'm not sure where you got the 21 days under your pillow as it makes little sense in a traditional manner (21 has no significance in Hoodoo and you want the bag on you at all times or close to)
Typically a mojo bag is kept on you, out of sight. Folks would pin it to the inside of their cloths.
Disposing of it at the crossroads would mean you are done working it. It's done it's job, it's not good, etc. The only other time you leave work at a crossroads if you're *not* done with it is if you are specifically working with the man at the crossroads.
i got the 21 days from my local magic store who sells premade mojo bags and the girl there told me it works for 21 days.
m going to be making my own bag...so you are saying that i can keep touching and seeing the bag it just has to be out of sight from other people right?
i also have another question regarding the pouch. can i buy a pouch or shoukd i stich one up myself as well?
I myself wouldn't say there is a "best ingredient to put in the bag". Some herbs you could use are Cinnamon, Rose buds/petals, powdered ginger (for spice and heat), Adam and Eve Root, etc.
There are many thing you could put into your bag. A good book to get for the herbs of Hoodoo is Catherine Yronwode's Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic. It has usages and properties of a lot of herbs, and is a good reference.
In the thread, "Love Mojo Bag!", please look for my post.
It's a rather simple recipe, and can be tweaked to your needs.
Mojo bags, as with gris gris bags, can only be seen and touched by who created them.
If they're seen or touched by another, you would need to "bless" it once again, with any psalms/prayers/etc that you used.
I use pre-made bags, due to the nerve damage in my hands, preventing me from sewing.
Hell, you could use a sock.
Unless a store is centered around your practice, don't take the word of those within.
Kudos to you, for double-checking with us :D
