yes happens with me too, been like 2,3 times..
a smell would come from nowhere, linger on for a moment n then vanish like it was never there before..

Even in a closed room with windows far apart.

Happens with me too. More than I would like actually. I usually let the spirit pass without disturbing it. I communicate with it only if the incense smell lingers longer.

To play the skeptic, it could also be that if you share the room, and have burned incense (or if it was burned in the house) a draft could have wafted the lingering fragrance to you. This happens often in my home (stupid drafty home).

I can also say the same of Awake's story in my own case; along with getting wafts of incense even having not burnt any for a long time due to the small and the light smoke floating around my house, my father also burns scented candles sometimes for relaxation purposes, and I can occasionally get a nice waft of those too, simply by a door being opened and closed.

I wouldn't necessarily put anything "mystical" on it at all, but hey, that's just me.

Even some items will leak a smell or just the item is scented. Kind if like something is the kitchen or one of those puzzles that have a scent to them. It could even be nature itself.

I'm not sure if it's got any connection with what happened, but I dreamt of Loki that evening. Just thought I'd share.

Also, in a Christian forum; they believe that the smell of incense is the Holy Spirit visiting you or something like that. I don't follow that path though.

As said before spirits can give off scents. Though if you store incense somewhere in your room or carry a portable alter the smell can linger heavily. I keep all my magical tools and garb in a wooden trunk and every time I open it the smell of sage and incense fills the room ( I love it!). Now though I don't even have to open it half the time, all I have to do is be close to it.

It could be either or, in any case I doubt its anything to worry about. And as for Loki, for me I have always gotten the smell of campfire or gunpower smoke.

Today I was in class and suddenly smelled that incense scent. Recognized it from the last time I had went to my favorite Wicca store. I remember that the customer told me that that scent was a dragon one, used for the dragons only.
My school doesn't have incenses or anything like this. However, there are some history of old students and teachers that died suddenly, either by suicide or by some sort of accident.
Still I don't think it was a spirit, because a few days ago I felt a dragon's presence while meditating.
What are your thoughts?

Be thankful the spirit blessed you with it's presence and let you know of it's existence. Many are not fortunate to have this happen. Could you recognise the scent that was there?
