Hecate, Crowley stole and plagiarised Golden Dawn rituals after breaking his oath so implying that he never misquoted anything and was a bastion of virtue beggars belief. Your statement that Kabbalah was invented by higher magicians (and not the Jews) shows your lack of understanding. Kabbalah (which means to receive ~ Kabbalah was received from god by the Jews) was established by Jews in Babylonia, Provance, Italy and Spain between the 6th and 13th century.

I'm not 'getting flustered' with you Hecate I'm trying to engage you in debate. You accused Lyjinn of being rude and using bad English and I'm simply defending his right to have an interpretation/ opinion that you disagree with.

No called the person rude for misquoting a book which I have a respect for, not for having an opinion, if that was your interpretation then forgive me, my point was to merely point out that the original authors intentions did not coincide with his interpretation....I don't believe the book was dictated as you can probably tell. There is nothing wrong with this, but an authors intentions can often be misconstrued.

It is also my opinion that misquoting a book which you can just copy and paste from is a bit rude, and that's my opinion.

Blessed Be.

Lyjinn didn't 'miss quote' he didn't quote full stop! He adapted something to full full his purpose. If you don't like what he did then I respect your opinion but many practitioners of the arts, especially those that follow eclectic paths borrow and adapt. If we are not open to change and diversity we stagnate. You yourself say you follow Thelema but you also believe in karma according to your bio. Where pray tell did Karma originate from? How has the concept of karma been adapted to fit other ideologies. Magick is a melting pot of ideas and we should be free to Experiment and incorporate other belief structures if we so choose.
Hecate, you also made a comment about Lyjinn's religion which was very derogatory, in claiming that Spiritual Satanists stole other people's idea's was offensive, and uncalled for. We must strive to respect all paths.

No he quoted he clearly stated "As it is written."

But I agree we must change and adapt but also give credit where credit is due for example my interpretation of karma differs from, but derives from ancient indian mysticism.

And as for spiritual satanism, most of their sources degrade other religions themselves, I'll shown no respect where respect is not earned.

If you refuse to respect other's beliefs why do you expect them to respect yours? Your arrogance, intolerance and ignorance define you. For that I am sorry.

I don't expect them to respect mine, nor do I require their respect.

Hecate, "I don't expect them to respect my opinion". If you don't expect Lyjinn and other spiritual satanists to respect your opinion why argue it like a petulant child?

I honestly think that both of you (Hecate and ESK) have lost the total point of this thread in your attempt to win the argument between you two. I do however find it more than a bit interesting that a mod hasn't locked this thread yet as it qualifies for locking based on your combined behaviors.

The moderators on this website do a fabulous job and I would defend any of them to the hilt! I'm sorry that you consider the level of debate beneath you.
