Merry Meet!

I'm interested in the Norse tradition of Paganism, but I seem to be stuck on where to begin research. What are the specific beliefs of the Norse and where can I get reliable information?

This forum is full of information, most of it is reliable. You can start with the Prose or Poetic Eddas, the Nine Noble Truths (Virtues), Norse myths, or just google. There are many sites out there that do a decent job explaining the concepts.

Raven Kaldar (not sure I spelled it right) has some good books
DJ Conway's Norse Magick is an informative read
Freya Asywin is good as well

I do not suggest reading DJ Conways book on Norse Magick if you're wanting to go about this in a traditional way. It is not based off factual traditions, and often is very new-agey in it's approach to Norse magick.

Raven Kaldera is a great source for Norse paganism, as he sort of formulated Northern tradition paganism (which relies heavily on Norse beliefs and concepts) and Northern tradition shamanism.

As was mentioned, a good place to start is by reading the Prose and Poetic Eddas. This will introduce you to the lore and the deities that are associated with this path. Here are links for you:

I would suggest Our Troth by Kvedulf Gundarsson as well.

Also, here is an entire library
