Welcome to SoM,

Well I am happy your taking interests in magic(k) what I would suggest is reading more about magic(k) and paths that interest you. There are books (Lark on of the moderators know a lot of books you can read). Or you can look online (but remember not to believe in everything you read.

Onto Meditation- this is one of the basic learnings, the art to help relax and be one with yourself. This technique will help with many magic(k)al activities, such as spell casting. (Which you shouldn't rush right into, read about spell casting.) Meditation you should clear your mind (as in you inner voice should shh).

Spirits- in definition are being that use to live and now are dead, if you talking about forest spirits or stuff like that they orginate from different paths.

My suggestion is too read and understand all of the basics. Like learning how to cast a circle, learning how to prapare for a spell, or ceramony..ect. Learn how to appeace your inner voice on command..ect stuff like that, but it will take practice and patients.

Also people come on here with the assumption that spells will work automatically after saying them, but they don't spells will take as long as necessary. Spells can not be rushed. Not even when placing a rushing word into a spell.
