I want to summon three gods Anubis, Fenrir and Amarok. I'm not ready to channel power from any but, since I chose a dog as my familiar I've felt a pull to talk to these three and to focus my energy on the wolves of our craft.

wow...where to begin with this one? First, you dont just choose a familiar. I believe there was a recent post in our forums explaining how a pet is different from a familiar. Its worth searching out and giving a read. Now, onto the ridiculousness of an obvious beginner summoning three gods...one norse, one egyptian, and one inuit wolf god. If you truely believe in these gods then ponder for a time the arrogance of a mortal being in thinking they could and should summon them. An experienced caster knows that you never summon anything that you cant banish (summoning is much easier than banishing), a true believer of these beings would not presume to summon them. We tend to pray and ask for favors from the dieties we worship, not so much with the demanding and commanding...which is what a summoning is. In my humble opinion the best place to focus your energy would be on studying and learning the craft. You seem to have gathered some misconceptions. This most commonly happens when a newbie rushes through or skips their study of magic
