Interesting, but very difficult and often dangerous magick practice. Soemthing about is in Initiation Into Hermetics by Franz Bardon.

I liked it too, wonderful post -Awake :-)
The only thing I have to add is that - your created servitor has a task or tasks, and after he completes them, you have to exterminate or release him. Otherwise there is a chance he will mutate into something dangerous.
Like -Awake said, before creating this kind of entity, you have to answer many questions, determine many things and have knowledge how to deal it afterwards.

That's fair. I likely should have included that. But within the theme, I did not care to go into detail about that end result.

Hi!
Very interesting post! Is there a way to recognize a servitor from a real spirit? Is there something that a servitor can not do and a spirit can or viceversa?

I'll add one consideration from personal experience.

Sigils and talismans can be used for much more than a focal point to facilitate subconcious exchange. They work well for that purpose, but their true potential lies in perpetuating the construct and providing a physical anchor for the aspiring magician.

There are many advantages to anchoring your constructs in such a manner.

Use of a custom sigil in the creation of a construct gives the user a direct channel to that entity. (Think of it in terms of Goetic spirits and you're not far off)

The talisman or seal can be used for the purposes of communication, programming, feeding or dissolving the entity. Especially in the form of a physical anchor, the user has a very effective "safety switch" in the event a construct goes off the reservation or otherwise needs to be discontinued.

I agree with the last comment. sigils are an excellent means to creating/maintaining servitors,

I've found using a sigil (or multiple) for an extended period of time seems to give them enough energy to manifest into their own thoughtform, similar to created servitors, especially with a little bit of ajdustment.

Glad to see this thread bumped again!
