Yes there are experts at it but watch out for supposed werewolves or any of that bill. There's even a knowledgable/editor I've seen whose bio said he's a
"Wulver", a supposed Scottish term for someone who
Is part dog.... Don't fall for this foolery.
No wolf magic. But many native cultures do have beliefs surronding power animals and animal spirit guides. I dont know much about it, you may want to find infomation on shammatic beliefs and Native culture.
As a Native American, we don't have a "werewolf" we have a yee naaldlooshii. Which translated means 'with it he goes in all fours'. The yee naaldlooshii means skin walker, or shape shifter of your sort. There are many things people call "werewolves" in Scotland there black dogs, there a shape shifter and well but known as a bad omen. The black dog was a strong part in one of the herry potters. There are said ways to becoming a shape shifter or a "werewolf by choice". The yee naaldlooshii is a kind of witch but a bad one, he uses black magic to become a shape shifter. So there is magic out there to becoming a wolf but non are to become a "real werewolf"
Well, some people that believe they are wolves believe they have been reincarnated from a wolf to a human, meaning in their past lives they were a wolf and then in their present lives they reincarnated to be a wolf in a humans body. Some believe in s-shifting and a- shifting ( spiritual and astral shifting) this belief is that they can shift their spirits or astral self into a wolf, some believe in dream shifting where through lucid dreaming and or their spirits transport while sleeping and they shift into a wolf, they usually have experiences where they meet other dream shifters in spirit form or meet each other in a dream. And Finally there's p-shifting, this is however not a common belief and it's believed to be fake or impossible, in ancient times however many people believed in p-shifting, p-shifting is physical shifting and no I do not believe in this type of shifting, but it was believed that if someone could master the power of the flesh or the power of matter over spirit or master the power of their own mind and body they could transform into a wolf or a wolf like creature such as a werewolf, in the p-shifting belief it was sometimes believed that often times through black magick a person could transform into a wolf or a wolf like creature because satan was believed to have the powers over the flesh and the desires of the flesh, however there's a wolf or werewolf spell that some say works only spiritually and some say it works physically it's the goddess selenes spell that in fact shows how innocent a wolf can be and can even use a positive power such as the moon goddess. Now werewolves are not real, the selenes wolf magick spell is sometimes in fact used by wolves not werewolves and is only meant to increase the power of their wolf self. And many myths, cases, and legends and stories talk about werewolves which is a different subject than wolves, but I am just talking about what people used to believe in and no I do not believe in werewolves, there was the skin walker, it was a person in a certain native american tribe that was believed to be a evil man that could shapeshift into a wolf or any animal he desired to, and often he can trick people with a voice of anyone or a loved one, he used the power of trickery to evade and misdirect his opponents before killing them and sacrificing them in order to gain more power and souls in order to shapeshift, he would often kill animals in order to gain their souls to transform into a animal, he would become a skin walker by being excepted into a group of skin walkers by murdering one of his own family members. And here's another kind of werewolf a shapeshifter some people just call them shifters they have been known to be either spiritual or physical shifters and could shapeshift into any animal in order to find out stuff, get information, to evade or misdirect people from them, they have also been known to be perhaps a little mischievous but I think the reason why people say they are mischievous is because they misdirected people from them. Here's another type of werewolf a wendigo, it was a person that went crazy from cabin fever and because of the cold winters and harshness of weather became heartless cannibals eating other people because their hearts would slowly feel no remorse for other people and since there was no food source to eat in the woods other than other people they would eat the person in order to feed themselves and to get closer to them I know weird right? Wendigos came in the form of a werewolf or a half man half half rotted dear because they usually wore a deers skull and antlers as a mask. Here's another shapeshifting spirit or person, a kitsune, a kitsune was usually a female shapeshifter that could change into a fox or a half fox half human and depending on how many tails it had it would show how powerful they were, kitsunes are also known to be s-shifters also not all werewolf cases were bad, like one werewolf came to a woman in the night to give a rose to her then he left without a trace. There have been a few cases where werewolves were also good, bad, or evil. But they are just stories and legends. But here's something about the god lycan some wolves (not werewolves but instead wolves) serve the god lycan to increase their powers of spiritual shifting. And yeah in most beliefs these days there's only spiritual, dream, or astral shifting not physical shifting. Anyways that's all blessed be!
