putting this out there to get some advice. See if I need to add or subtract anything.
I have a local occult shop where I can buy herbs and I imagine oils and was wondering if anyone could tell me which herbs and oils to get.(what herbs and oils to get?)
I was going to make my petition paper make the 5 points on it with oil and then add some herbs to the paper fold it 3 times
I am going to add a photo of me and my ex together folded towards each other. (photocopied picture)
add a stick of cinnamon
burn red candles on it T/Th/Sat and pink on M/W/F(or should i change them around?) I was also thinking of using figural candles named after each other
then place it on top of a photo copied picture of us thats different from the one in the jar draw a heart around us with a red sharpie and write a petition on the back of the picture. lay it face up under the jar.
That sound great. In addition to this you can write your name on parchment paper or on a brown paper bag in odd #s 3,5,9 etc..

Then turn the paper 1/4 way clockwise and write you name in a way where your names overlap like in tic tac toe. Be sure to keep your name on the paper without lifting in and concentrate on your intent. Be sure to speak your intent out loud. Be sure to anoint your candle also while speaking and visualizing your intent. be sure to use oils that work with what your are trying to achieve..come to me, attraction, domination oil. You can use the colors that corresponds with the vibration, red=romance, passion, pink=love, green=prosperity, money, jobs, yellow friendship. You can start working on the candle on the days that resonate with you..as you see movement you can continue to decrease the days where you are working the candle.
The type of effectiveness depends on the circumstances and energy surrounding the work with a honey jar. I have seen success with the honey jars that I have used for opportunities and to smooth things over. Please note that it may take time to see movement with your honey jar.
O.K. although I am only a month old in magic :), I've read enough on and had/have experience with the honey jar spell.What I will explain here is the one that I did.
What you need is
- a jar with a metal lid.
- sweetener such as sugar, honey, maple syrup...etc. (CHECK NOTE BELOW)
- His and your personal concerns. If you don't have hair, nail clippings, semen etc. you can use his/her photo with his name and DOB written on it.
- a small magnet (CHECK NOTE BELOW)
- a pinch of cinnamon (CHECK NOTE BELOW)
- 2 rose petals (CHECK NOTE BELOW)
- a pinch of dried lavender (CHECK NOTE BELOW)
- a pinch of anise (CHECK NOTE BELOW)
- a pinch of cumin (CHECK NOTE BELOW)
- a pinch of cardamom (CHECK NOTE BELOW)
- 2 cloves (CHECK NOTE BELOW)
- a piece of paper torn from a brown paper bag
- a pen
- a pink candle
- anointing oil
- matches
Procedure
- gather the above
- sit in a quite place
- turn your phone off :)
- clean, consecrate and charge your tools
- get yourself in a meditative state
- visualize the two of you happy together.
- take the brown paper and neatly tear off the edges to form a square about the size of your palm.
- write his full name 3 times as such:

- turn the paper 90 degrees CLOCKWISE
- write your name on top of his 3 times as such

This should result in both your names forming sort of a grid with your name crossing his.
- write your petition in a circle around the names WITHOUT LIFTING YOUR PEN. This means that you don't cross your t's or dot your i's until you complete the circle. The petition could be as simple as lovemereturntome. While writing the petition, rotate the paper CLOCKWISE.
- place the personal concerns, herbs, rose petals and magnet in the middle.
- fold the paper TOWARDS YOU. Turn it CLOCKWISE and fold again. Repeat until it can be no longer folded.
- fill the jar with the sweetener about half way through, place your folded packet and fill it the rest.
- close the jar
- anoint the candle (CHECK NOTE BELOW)
- light it while saying your petition
- stand/sit in front of the candle and improvise the the effect of "as this candle burns, so is lover's name love grows for me, pink candle burning bright in the glory of the night, bring lover's name to me, as the sweet sugar in this jar surrounds lover's name, so is his words to me....etc." Or you Thank him for all the things he did for you in the past, mentioning them one by one (coz he needs to receive your sweet energy as well) or you state your love vows to him or you can do all of this (which I did)
-Spend time to visualize the two of you together doing things that you love. DO NOT think in terms of future. Visualize it as something that already manifested.
-Let the candle burn all the way out.
- At this point the spell is DONE.
- you must NOT question that.
Now here are my notes:
1. Honey seems to be the preferred sweetener by a lot of people. The honey jar is said to work very slowly but once it does, the effect is very powerful. That said, I read on a website (which I can't recall right now) that it works slowly because honey does pour out slowly. In contrast, sugar pours out fast. My heart told me to go with sugar and I did. And it worked super fast. (but please don't be disappointed if this is not the case for you in terms of speed. Just believe, believe, believe)
2. I am not sure if all what I listed starting from the magnet down to the cloves are necessary. I just did a lot of research about herbal properties in magick spells and I picked the ones that I listed because I found that they were used in a lot of spells to draw love.
3. In order to avoid making mistakes in writing my petition, I practiced several times until I got into the habit of not lifting my pen.
4. Re anointing the candle, I dressed it in olive oil and sprinkled lavender and cinnamon on it.
5. Because my jar is working for me, I still light candles on it to keep the sweetness going.
6. I did the assembling and first candle on the last full moon. However, I read that not everybody does that. A lot of people do the work as needed.
