Casting a circle
By:
Hi, I am new to magic and have been learning about how to cast spells, herbal properties, how to oil candles, etc. I have noticed though that alot of the spells on this site for love don't mention casting a circle. I was wondering if casting a circle is always necessary? If not, why do some spells require it and some not?

Thank you for your responses!

So how do you know which type of spells casting a circle is best for? Or not needed?

Casting circle is important to protect you from unwanted interference of spirits or energy it act as a boundary which keep power of spells in it until the spell is done and ready to be released to universe But its main function is to protect you from everything unwanted evil or anything as without circle the energy of spells you make shall attract something you might not want to be with... The strong the circle the better for you circle also amplify the energy of spells to be send in universe casting circle usually include first clear atmosphere energy bless altar exorcise salt incense water fire then cast circle call elementals and watch towers and then call the others you want like gods angels etc then do not come out of circle until spells/ritual are done then after work thanks and release elementals watchtower and everyone you called then open circle to release energy but do not break the circle you can say in end like this "The circle is open yet unbroken"

Casting a circle, just helps you keep your energy inside the circle so that your energy does not wonder off! You can do much things with a circle. Invite the elements, invite spirits to help you with your spells... Hope it helped.

I was thinking of just smudging sage in the room to keep the unwanted energies out. I guess sage is not strong enough? Can I cast a circle in my room (indoors) or does it have to be outside?

Your comment did help thank you. So pretty much it helps to focus and direct my energy better, which means it should always be done. My bedroom floor though doesn't have a 5 ft by 5 ft area I can do this on though, and my alter is on my dresser top.

Does the alter used in the circle have to be the same alter used after closing the circle? E.g, lets say a spell needs the candles to burn all the way down, so I cast the circle, perform the spell, step out of the circle and say "circle is open yet unbroken" and wait for the candles to burn down, then go back into the circle to close it, then move my temporary alter that i used in my circle back to my dresser top?

you can cast a circle indoors as well as outdoors... it doesnt matter.. the circle is a boundary between this world and the spirit world.. it helps to keep your energy from losing power..smudging sage before casting the circle helps tons..
