Spider Superstitions..?
By:
I've heard it's said that if you kill a spider, it brings bad luck.

Now I don't know if this is true or not, but I always end up killing them out of general fear; either fear of being bit/or just cause some look poisonous etc, did not wanna take risks.

Now I've been seeing black spiders on three different thresholds (near the door) of three different entrances in my home.
This kinda reminded me of another superstition that says:

"If a spider drops onto a threshold, someone will die."

Now, can anyone tell me if I should take both of these superstitions serious or not? ..Your thoughts?

Well, I heard that a spider brings good luck at home but maybe the "If a spider drops onto a treshold, someone will die" means that the person could die of the spider bite, so be really careful as some spiders are venomous...

Thresholds were and still are very important and magickal places to many peoples. In Thailand it is VERY bad manners to step on a threshold! People there always step OVER it. I believe the symbolism, in some parts of the world, is that the threshold is like the birth and death opening. A non poisonous spider would be good luck, a poisonous one NOT! But THREE at three different doors is most definitely an OMEN! You should research it more and quickly! The black spiders sound like typical house spiders. Their bite can sting but not harm.
