Yes it isn't something for beginners but it doesn't mean you shouldn't attempt to learn more about it then in the future (I'm talking like years off) attempting it properly

I'm sure you can find a copy of The Key of Solomon on Amazon or something so that's a great place to start if you're interested in ceremonial or Solomonic magick

The strongest tool is knowledge

Damn, I used to know a lot about this, but at this moment in time all I can tell you is that if you do it, leave a large enough space for whatever mysteries you feel the need to conjure, and have white wine as an offering

The texts of Solomon are very old and have been tried and tested in their time. Granted, most of Solomon's works, if not ALL of his works were done on the basis of Christian magic, they can be worked with intent of other faith as well. Magic is an incredibly malleable mistress, and is more than capable of altering itself to the will of the caster under any circumstance.

That being said, I would recommend spending 3 years devoting yourself to studying and practicing Solomon's works before you attempt anything. A solid amount of research based in patience and practice always form the most desirable results, and rushing can cause nothing but pain. However... Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Some would tell you that "there are things in this world and the next that were never meant to be trifled with", but I don't believe this to be true.

If I had never dealt with darkness and shadow magics, I never would have found the Void. That being said, as I was walking untested grounds, I did find that trudging through the shadows and darkness of this world leaves a lasting impact, and I have yet to find a way to absolve myself of this effect. However, Solomon did all of the trial and error for you in this case.

If you decide to follow through with this, do as much research as possible. Follow Solomon's texts, but always, ALWAYS, interpret it with your personal intent. Magic is nothing if not personal.

I wish you luck in this highly academic endeavor. Blessed be :)
