I remember when I was a child I used to talk to trees. I had a deep connection with many of them and I called them my friends. I even gave them individual names. Thank you for posting, brings back many fond memories.
Cool, my best friend also. She can speak to them and many more things. Tree and forest spirits when she feel bad cheer her up as well :3.. I can't go to any bigger forest but there is one very small one sadly I feel pain from them because its trash all around it.. I noticed when I meditate I can feel every energy :3 Its awesome feeling ^^.. I wish I was like my best friend tho, need much work for it :P
@ faeriesdream i feel and under stand whete you are comimg from however if you think there a need to put a nail in a tree ask and explaine why to the tree if it says yes then go a head a do it. This reminds my how the Native Americans when the killed animal the thank it for its sacrifice.
I'm pretty sure using the concept of nailing something into a tree works without actually nailing something into one. You could just envision doing it in connection to the spell without actually doing it and the spell would probably still function normally. But i should look into that further. Also thank you for this thread. I did not show nature proper respect until this year and i was beginning to lose it so thank you for reminding me. This is a great thread.

Trees are my favorite creatures and best friends .I love to hug them and they have helped me to ground so many times ,while I was still in struggle to do so .They do have this special connection to everything on this earth and Universe .They are in perfect balance if nothing disrupt them ,which is why they raise energy so well and then ground it with such an ease .Nothing feels better than meditating with back next to a tree trunk .
Faeries ,I really like the idea of drawing things on the leaves .I should try it one day .
I am not just close with one tree I am close with all of them ,but I really like pine ,cherry , willow trees .They are my favorite .
I get a connection to a tree everywhere I've lived. One time I lived in a town, and happened to have the biggest mesquite tree I have ever seen! And it was the biggest in town too. But sadly had to move from there. But now I have a tree right outside my window that has helped me ground and that I consider my friend. My manager said it might have to come down. I am heartbroken. If it is to happen, I will take some branches for future projects, definitely a wand or two. This will keep the energy of the tree with me, so I was told by my priest. I will miss the sounds of baby birds in it every year too. I can hear them now, as I'm writing this. They'll be big enough to fly pretty soon, but I look forward to it every year. Yes, trees are definitely friends...
