If there is one thing that's been happening on here recently that I can't stand it's people posting on threads that are two or more years old
What were you doing to even find those anyway? I know it doesn't matter but people really should just post a new thread if they want to revive an old topic
However, if these thread did not recive new posts, then the knowledge within them would be lost in the sea of threads their are in the forums. Persoanlly, I like how new posts are made on old threads, it shows that the person posting has taken the time and effort to look through the forums and research for themselves, rather then just posting a topic that has already been brought up.
I think it's idiotic in my opinion because after they make a comment to revive it no one will read the entire thread just to answer the new question asked
How do you know that no one will read the whole thread? Unless the thread has millions of comments people might actually take the time to read it because there are others who make good comments as well besides the original poster. There are many good old posts that have been made that people need to know about. Someone who takes the time to go through the forums and look for old posts are ones that seek knowledge.
I just spent the biggest part of my day reading some of the old post here. I was here when the biggest part of them were written. I even have a few in there.
Its like going down memory lane.
Also its the history of the site. You might be surprised at what you find there. So much information that needs to be brought out.
I still learn something after all these years just reading through them. A lot of them are really entertaining too. I recommend to all on here, not just beginners to read and comment on these old post.
It also takes up quite a bit of space making a new thread on something there is already a thread for. It annoys me to see a new thread on the same topic of an old one because they answered almost every possible question in the old thread. People waste space because they don't look at the old threads. Thats why its important to revive old threads every once and a while.
