Let it be noted this is not for arguments/discussions but I will respond considering you asked. If you would like to further this discussion my inbox is open.

I believe their is a grain of truth within every myth, for the myth of vampires this grain of truth lies in the religious vampyres and in those people who have medical conditions that mirror the attributes of vampires.

It is true, Hollywood has made a mockery of many groups and it is one of the main source of "fluffies." And yes, in the actual myths vampires are vastly different. But those myths most likely originated from either religious vampyres, those with medical conditions or a freak event. (ex. someone being buried alive)

Yes, I understand that, however pretty much anyone on this site can tell you that I've been a real pain in the arse because I have fought for years on this subject in the favor of vampires existing (I was always aiming for talking more about the religious kind but I was never able to effectively put my words down on paper until now). So I don't have a tiny little box... rather I have a huge box.

With concerns to the blood cravings, Iron deficiency was simply an example, there are many possible diseases/disorders that can cause blood cravings however, considering I am only 15 and in no way a certified medical professional, I wouldn't be able to give you are valid diagnosis.

Very nice post, RainCaller.

DHP, there are known psychological conditions which provide a craving-for-blood effect. On the other hand, if being a mythical vampire is something that you wish, your mind can also cause you to think and act certain ways which mirror vampiric attributes. That's called Wish Fulfillment.

Personally, I think legends of supernatural vampires can be attributed to this: tribes of cannibals who were so isolated that people use paranoia to fill in the gaps. Much the same happened with withcraft - it was so unknown to many people so their paranoia filled in all the gaps for them. Like wolfsbane, garlic is an idea that people used to help themselves feel safe from these predators - it doesn't really have anything to do with these mythological creatures.

Ok here it is plan and simple (I hope)

Vampires are a myth (Blood drinking) and do not exist on this plan or in this realm whichever you prefer.
There are however psychic vampires. They draw energy from people basically they steal it.

That is all that it is for vampires.
