Thank you for sharing your views everyone. This is a growing problem and it will not stop until the ones who cannot distinguish between fantasy and reality understand that some things are not meant to be.

I really like the way Lokisdottir put it. Many people know nothing of genetics, DNA, etc. I have not studied these things extensively, but I have enough common sense to know that magick won't change theses things. They expect a candle and their will to just make them into something they want to be. Aside from that, it's silly and complete nonsense.

And it seems that once again, like all other posts, the content is going in the ears of some and out their butts.

I will now proceed to bang my head on the nearest wall.

And the funny thing is is that when we do tell them that a certain spell does not work they get all mad at us and call us mean or close-minded like I have said.

Once again, telling the truth is not us being close-minded.

Go look both of them up in a dictionary before you call us that.

I think the neanderthals never died out and now they're living at the bottom of the oceans, which is why we see ufo's coming from there.

Many people believe transformation spells are fake, pretend. I have heard that you create an illusion by hiding yourself under something your not. In other words, it alters your form, if not temporarily. People may believe that the ruins of your spell can be a fresh start resulting in the belief of calling someone rude, if they say it doesn't work. I'm saying I disagree with your views, I understand them.

Illusions do not change your apperance they just cause another to see you differently. No actual transformation happens.

There is a form ov mental shapeshifting but it has nothing to do with changing your physical form. You simply take certain thought patterns ov said animal unto your own. Which can be dangerous to the unprepared.

I too have been called close-minded as well as a jerk just for attempting to explain to some that physical change is Not possible, no matter how much you believe the impossible can be done. It is wishful thinking.
Yet I find that they are the close-minded ones for not taking the time to understand before continuously asking the same tired questions and being disrespectful towards those that offer answers.

As Einstein has cleverly said, all that can be provided are the conditions to learn. Those that really want to learn but have been misguided by shady sources, deserve a chance. Those that do not wish to learn will have to come upon the truth by themselves, one way or another.

Magick is not a play toy. It requires devotion, and those who understand that are not close minded. Just real.

Thanks for the post, Seeked :)

People just have mixed views of magic. Though they change overtime. For the absolute beginner with a wild imagination, the magic in their minds is the one they are used to seeing being portrayed in movies or fantasy novels, so that is what they expect to find here. But once they come to terms with reality, that's when they are able to learn it's true nature and if they are still interested, the begin to explore the occult and esoteric arts and practices.

I agree with you but some people won't listen after you tell them a million times it's just human nature.
