I See Dots/Shapes

Bear with me, because this is a bit hard to explain. I see dots, millions of them. The dots are translucent for the most part, though a few are grey or black. On one or two occasions, I've also seen white.

I've done some research, and the millions of translucent dots are probably visual snow, except for one thing. They sometimes form shapes. With a lot of concentration, I can control the things that are made.

Before I was meditating after having run a mile. I was lying down with my back on the ground. My eyes were closed. When I opened them, I saw white dots quickly moving around above me.

Any ideas about what this could be?

well, seriously i don't have much idea what they are. but it does look like u r hallucinating a bit too much.

On the other hand, seeing shapes and symbols when u close your eyes sometimes mean your third eye is working. But since u said that u see those shapes and dots when your eyes are open, then i seriously haven't got much idea about it

This isn't so much spiritual as it is physiological. Keep your eyes closed and open them quickly and you will usually see dots. This is the result of the blood flow to the retinas and similar medical reasoning.

That explains the white ones, but what about the transparent ones?

It could be haluncinations, those dots that you see after staring into lights or magical. Persoanlly, after the experiences I've had I would assume this would be magical. When I was little I used to do a lot of magic in the night in almost pitch blackness. A couple of times I saw these railways of energy buzzing through the sky, it was unbelivable. I could actually see energy eminating from all the objects in the room. It looked like those highspeed video's of highways where the car lights make that glowing line effect.

The transparent/colored ones are a similar result. Close your eyes tightly and look toward a light, then open them when the pressure builds up. You can get a blend.

My apologies about not making myself clear. I see the clear ones all the time, though they show up better in the dark.

With any kind of visual disturbance it's worth going to see an eye specialist just to ensure you don't have a physical reason for what you're experiencing. It could for example be caused by a detached retina.

They're called floaters in your line of vision

If there's a sudden rush of thousands of these little shapes, irrespective of the colour or if these thingies appear when you move your head, please rush to the doctor. Your retina could have already detached and if not taken care of, you could lose your sight.

If it's something that you've always seen and their frequency and number has not increased, then don't panic. i would do what AwakeTooLong has suggested.

Chances of retinal detachment is higher in older people. But is not uncommon in youngsters, specially those who have suffered head and eye trauma.
