mmmk, I am a beginner too, all I know is only meditation and visualization, I am better with meditation though, what I do for meditation is I imagine me being in a realm, perhaps a sun temple, or what I do the most is a forest, imagine yourself just walking around and exploring for as long as you want, I would personally go for 3 minutes, but what helps me meditate is I play music, if you have a kindle fire, I do, go to music and search albums for meditation or relaxation, there is a free album.
A tip is DO NOT LAY DOWN WHILE MEDITATING! I tried that for my first time and once i was done, I felt dizzy, some people even pass out after that.
