Long Hair Equals + Power?

Some of the most powerful Witches that I know have short hair. I have seen no correlation between the length of one's hair and one's ability to do magic in some 30 years of practice.

my hair is down to my elbows and it doesn't effect my spells at all, in good or bad.

My great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee (Twisted/Long Hair tribe) and believed her hair was her strength. Her hair was down to her ankles and she would pin it up in a bun. But strength does not mean magick power, she was referring to willpower. I believe it is what you believe it is. When she became ill in old age, she asked that it be cut short, which signified she was giving up and was accepting death. It's more of a sacred belief, not anything to do with power. If you believe it strengthens you, then it does, just as a good luck charm only works if you give that object that importance. But the only thing that helps spellcasting is knowledge and practice. No object in the world, attached or separate from your body will do that for you.

Don't think your hair length will affect how successful you are in magic...

Well if long hair is needed, then I am in bad shape, mostly bald, I have never seen that as a problem with power, magical or otherwise.

I don't believe that at all...but I can see why others would. There are many stories in which long hair was associated with strength and power. For example, there was the story of Samson and Delilah. That said, I still like to keep my hair long and only trim (to remove the split ends, of course).
