Edit button, please?

This a great site and I thank all of the admins who work hard to keep things running smoothly. One change that I would like to see, however, is the addition of an edit button. That way someone who posts and forgets to add something does not have to double-post. Please consider. Thank you for your time :)

That's actually very thoughtful. And it would be really helpful too.

The thing is I imagine it's a pain to code and it provides the opportunity for members to go back and change their arguments which can scramble and annoy other members.

What I do is if I notice a nasty little typo right after I post something is I backspace or click the "back" button, fix the typo, and repost. I delete the original with the typo in it and then I'm good to go.

When it comes to typos, I simply use the HTML Editor which happens to have a spell checker included to what it can offer. ;) I correct the typos with it, and post whatever i need.

As for adding things, all you need is to make a double post (don't over do it though) or simply, as Submerged said, delete the original post and make a new one by copying-pasting it and later adding the additional content to the post.

An edit button would be lovely, especially for those of us that move between the phone, tablet and laptop.
