This was great. I love it. I can definitely say from experience that Loki is one to come to you and show him self to you. And with working with him you definitely will be drawn to work with those of his family. With me I was drawn to work with with Hel; which has brought great focus in my workings to Hel over Loki. Though I still have much reverence for Loki; as well as Jotun-kind as a whole. However working with those outside of Jotuns, particularly Loki and his kin, has been lacking, to be completely honest.
In concerns of Loki being the god of change, I will give my personal aspect of that. I guess you could say it's my UPG of a sort. When I speak of Loki I speak of him as the god of balance. He is the one who sets chaos straight; balancesout the natural order, per say. With bmeansing comes the means of change. So change and balance go hand in hand; therefore, I coincide balance and change. However, as a disclaimer, change does always mean balance. There will most likely be numerous changes before balance is achieved. Many changes may or may not seem for the best, but there's always ups and downs any ways. Those working with Loki, whether Lokean or not, can be sure to expect him to cause changes in your life.
Personally, I think the controversy between those who believe like the Troth and Lokeans arise from taking what Snorri says in the Prose Edda too seriously. He favours the Aesir more. And even from the start makes out the Jotun to be "evil." But I would say that from this and other personal opinions of people, as well as misconceptions, the Jotun, especially Loki it seems, are rather misunderstood. Though it probably doesn't help when you have stories like where Loki kills Baldur. Though it is debatable as to if Loki the god of change actually committed such acts. That's another story, however.

I'll try to write something up about it sooner or later. It's an interesting topic, and highly controversial in my personal practice. For some reason, out of all of the Northern Gods, Loki seems to be the one with the most claims of Godspousing. It strikes me as odd, because Loki isn't the type to actually "marry"- as he is extremely devoted to his wife, Sigyn, though he does take on consorts. Then again, who am I to say what a God will and will not do!
