aspecting

Aspecting is the art of taking parts of your personality and giving them semi independent existence. Obviously not physical.
We each have within us several different aspects. Male, female, the beast, the angel and the demon, and madness and clarity. I call these the seven shadows. Each aspect is a piece of the while bieng.
And with practice, patience and determination, each aspect can be given a seperate voice.
Now why would anyone want to do this? Well at least for me the gain is that each aspect has a particular skill set. For instance, the beast is raw instinct and attuned well with nature. When i call the aspect of the beast i find i am better able to understand the forests. The preditor prey relationship. I also find my speed increases. Not due to magic but using my athletic ability to its fullest. Balance is also enhanced. My beast is a panther. Im sure if you so wished you could find hundreds of aspects.
Now the down side. Once an aspect is set. Its voice shall always echo through your mind.
Now my main aspect is the human male. And my secondary aspect is the angel. Or in my case dragon. Representing wisdom, patience and knowledge. My demon is the shadow walker. Sly. Cunning and cruel. It will not accept failure. The female aspect is kind, gentle and nurturing. And madness is just that. Pure chaos. Clairity is the one i still have yet to master. But i am working on it.
