You are very likely not going to see a wolf anytime soon.
If you are new, I heavily, heavily suggest researching the basics. They will tell you everything you need to know :)

Shielding
Grounding
Centering
Circle Casting
Meditation
Colors and their meanings
Moon Phases and their meanings
Days and their meanings
Hours and their meanings
Herbs and magick Tools (Stones, wands, altars, ect)
Visualization
Energy Manipulation
Astral Projection and the Planes of Existence
Charms and Chakras
Elements
Astrology

Most important point I can stress is please don't try summoning spells unless you've mastered the basics and done enough research to know exactly what you're expecting. From the sounds of it you effectively stopped part way through and didn't perform a banishing at the end which pretty much goes against all summoning guidelines.

Somewhat fortunately it sounds like the spell you were using may have been fluffy as you can't summon a wolf out of thin air in that way. You could
call a wolf spirit or increase the odds of seeing a real wolf provided they already live in your area. Now as for that headache of yours there are two possibilities, number one, you got a headache at a coincidental time. Number two, you were focussing too hard and directed too much of your energy towards the spell which resulted in the headache, centring and grounding can help prevent this in the future.

if it is a fake, do you know any spells that call real animals?

Well it's possibly not fake, it's possible to attract animals to you however you can only possibly attract one that's near by. You basically just need to direct your energy towards that animal and hope for the best, no garuntees though it's a rather primitive form of magic that takes both time and patience. Just don't expect things like an elephant to turn up in the US just because you summoned it.

another question: do any types of animals help with magic? like a pet bird or spirit bird helping with wind magic? i have a pet lizard and want to know if it can help me with magic. also, how do you find out about and call your spirit animal?

Animals can help with spells yes, although I don't think that specific animals help with any specific type of magic instead they will lend you there energy to help in the spell work. They become a familiar which is basically an animal that you've formed a close bond with and share some level of understanding with.

As for your spirit animal they're most often reviewed through meditation! They're not usually physical things but astral. You need to meditate on it whilst asking "what is my spirit animal?" but not "is my spirit animal a....?" or you can easily sway yourself towards that animal. It will often review itself to you though when you're ready during meditation.

if i make an animal a familiar, wil it try to run away still or will it trust and obey me?

Well you don't really make a familiar, it's like a friendship they form on there own over time, you can't force it. Thus the animal will trust you once they're a familiar but they're still an animal and will thus behave accordingly. So they would still run away if that's how they naturally behave. You have to accept their behaviour as much as they accept yours, I can't describe a familiar to you in words but you'll know when and if you have one simply from the way you feel when you're around them.
