Wisdom I believe is better, or at least I prefer it.
Knowledge is simply being in possession of information.
Wisdom is the understanding and ability to use it.
Your knowledge is worthless in the long run (typically) without some form of wisdom to back it.
Gavreel makes an excellent original point, however. "you can't have wisdom without knowledge..."
On the other hand you can look at it this way: The moment you are born you begin to gain knowledge, even if you are not taught. Yes, knowledge comes first but without wisdom that knowledge useless.
Again, knowledge is what you know. We all know something.
Wisdom is the ability to use what you DO know. Not all of us have an abundance of that.
