if the boils open, my grandmother always said take a slice of potato and place it directly on it. garlic or onion would work too apparently. she also had this one about a wart, wrap the area in tinfoil on a full moon and throw a potato over your left shoulder. don't know if that one works, but i'm Irish so i think thats where that came from lol.
you could also have a warm damp face cloth, place some epsom salt in it, and place it on the boil for 30 minutes 3 times a day if the soar is closed.
another one for if it's open, apple cider vinegar. burns like crazy, cuz it's disinfecting, so dilute it with water.
i'm guessing there's others, but thats all i know. oh, and be sure to wash your hands before and after touching it, and you shouldn't try popping it.
If you take the heart of a raw potato and place it on the boil and cover it with a band aid for 24-48 hours. That will draw it all to a head and bring the core to the top. If it is ready to bust when you try removing the potato it should be stuck to the head on the boil so as you remove the band aid it will pull the head off of it and it will start draining. To get it to completely drain all the poison out of it all around the hole where it is draining from start using your fingers and pulling the skin apart away from the hole. once you have gotten it all drained out and it is just draining out a clear liquid pack the hole with Neospeoran and then cover it will a thick gauze and tape to catch any further draining. Most time boils are caused from a bad blood disease. I know cause I get them very regularly but for me it is heredity. I have been to several doctors and been put on all types of medication but I found this to be the cheapest, easiest, and best way to heal it.
I have suffered from these for years and I have found that a poltice of crushed fenugreek seeds can be helpful, but for relief of boils and skin cysts, there is no better method than icthammol ointment, its an old fashioned drawing salve, not often found on the drug store shelves, but many stores, including my local walmart have it behind the druggist counter and you have only to ask for it. An even greater blessing is that its inexpensive. Use hot compresses and icthammol on sterile gauzue inbetween.
