Human by day, wolf by night? I remember that story from one of my classes back when I was still in school, although the character was a male and he was wolf by day, not night. He broke the curse when he was reunited with his love if I am not mistaken. However, this is just an old greek story. It is a good story, but its fictional through and through.
Human transmutation or augmentation through magic is theoretically possible just like it is theoretically possible through science, but with such a high percentage of improbability that you might as well say impossible. I get chest pains from the moon, but its nothing magical or werewolf related. I simply get chest pains because of some fluid imbalance in my lungs and the effects that the gravitational pull of the moon affects me.
I love wolves and I love romance, but I leave the stories to the books because trying to bring a fantasy into magic is like bringing a corpse to a wedding. It doesn't belong and it insults everyone who is here because they want to be around fellow practitioners of the art.
