Questions about the AP
By:
Okay So, I'm new here on the forums... Well not really, I've been looking around on the site frequently over the past few months and I just decided to make an account. Anyway, I have a few questions about the Astral Plane. Also, sorry in advance if some of these have been asked before.

Is the Astral even real, or is it all in our heads?

When we die, do we go to the astral plane? And if we do, are we aware; do we have control over our surroundings?

A while ago i think i read something about all thoughts being manifested in the astral plane, is that true?

One more thing, Is there a godlike entity in the astral?

The astral plane is real.

Not sure about when you die, but you do have control over your surroundings while in the astral plane.

The astral plane is a higher plane and a higher subconsience is used, but thought is a unique entity. Since there is no way to know if what you are thinking is what "you" are thinking or an idea placed in your head. This is one you should find an answer that you beleive.

As stated above, the astral plane is real, and can be visited by anyone who has learned the techniques to get into it.

For your second question, it depends on what a person believes. Some may think it's a form of Summerland, while others (I would assume most) think this as being different from anywhere with dead spirits.

Thoughts can be manifested in the astral plane. So, if you are scared, negative entities will be drawn to you. It's best to be calm and relaxed during this state. If that cannot be acheived, set up a barrier around yourself to protect against those entities. You can find some techniques with a quick google search.

Again, up to what a person believes. Personally, I believe that there is no God-like entity there.

Oops. I forgot a question, this one is a bit weird but...

Is everything in the astral... Shiny? or does it look normal? Or does it look how you want it to look? I don't know why I'm asking this but whenever i think of the astral, I think of shiny things.

I do believe every person has a different experience when in the astral plane. For myself, I do not see things as "shiny", but rather, slightly fuzzy around the edges.

I think the way you see the astral plane is up to you. A lot of people have different ways of seeing it. I myself see it as if I were seeing it through my 3rd eye I dont see color or deffinateshapes but spiritual outlines or more like the energy of the area, its more of a fluid vision like seeing auras instead of the person or thing they belong to.

The astral is more vivid. Think about the old "technicolor" movies and how much more colorful they are than real life.

I view the astral as the parallel spirit realm to the physical. It is where souls go at first when a person dies. It is also where thoughts and emotions take shape. And finally, where guides, guardians, and spiritual vermin/parasites run about. If, after we die, we choose to move on or can bring ourselves to let go, we are then capable of going to other realms. Those "stuck" on the astral are a lot like psych ward patients. They cannot accept what occurred during their life and/or death and grasp tightly to the physical. Those who just choose to wait, are usually desiring to look after a loved one who has yet to pass away.

My views are based off of my own observation and experiences, not something from a book or a religion.

Thank you all for your replies! I'm going to do some more research about the astral plane, and when I feel that I am ready, I'll try to AP.
