Doubtful that it was 'taken away'. More than likely you still get them, you just don't notice them as much now. Sometimes in the process of learning something new our intuition is 'silenced' as our conscious and subconscious are actively working on new information. This is were meditation can come in handy, as can simple relaxation. Learn to find that subtle clues that something is 'not right' and focus on them until you can clarify the problem. Your intuition is a gift that must be used and understood. It takes time and experience to understand the subtle clues it gives.
