Forgive me for being a bit synical here but i do not belive in this pointless ritual as a lot of young people will try this and end up with diseases. There may be other ways of msking a freindship last. Like being there for them. Caring for them. But doing this ritual is pointless as i said before. I strongly advise that you dont mix each others blood because you dont know what diseases the other person has.

But white raven, i dont meen to be rude here but in the movies they are in a controlled enviroment where they are supervised. But if people try this at home they are not in a controled enviroment. Do you realise what implacations this could have if someone did try this at home and ended up doing it wrong. The person could have a condition where if they cut them selves they could bleed to death. And guess who it is going to fall back on. Petraca. He will be the one who gets the blame. And its bye bye spells of magic if that happens

There is a real Tradition where two peoples blood is put into a bowl and mixed around during the wedding cerimony. I forget where the tradition came from. I was reading about it the other because the subject came up in a peice of poetry that was assigned in class.

That's interesting, the blood in the bowl bit that is, and is probably a lot safer if they are careful in which what object touches what and so on. I wish the real tradition wasn't lost, but it's probably out there somewhere in a book we don't know about yet.
