spell for someone else

My husband was arrested recently on a 7 year old charge that they haven't even put a warrant out until a week and a half ago. It's a pretty serious charge, and he just had to be extradited to Michigan. I don't know the name of the "victim", or judge, and there is no public defender in the city he is charged. If anyone can suggest anything, it would be most helpful.

BTW, we cannot afford an attorney, and can't seem to find legal aid.

7 years? Any physical evidence? If the case is that old, its going to be very hard to convict him AS LONG AS he doesn't talk. Police like to ask questions and force people to through fear tactics and even abuse to admit to a crime. The key is to stay silent or continue to repeat "I'm innocent". He has the right to remain silent and ANYTHING he says can be used against him in a court of law. That is his rights and he needs to utilize them.

There are free lawyers, they're usually students that just past the bar. You can get free legal advice online and they may be able to direct you. It would take a complete idiot to not be able to get your husband to be considered not guilty due to insufficient evidence. Unless literally his fingerprints or dna was on a weapon or a camera clearly caught his face they would need a confession.
