I think bark from a willow tree can help,i think you put the bark in some tea and drink it.

I don't know any pain-relieving herbs in particular, but I do know that peppermint has powerful healing properties, and can also help you sleep. What I usually do is make a tea out of it, which you can either buy from most stores, or grow and collect you peppermint yourself and steep in in boiling water. I think rosemary is helpful in healing too. But if you back gets any worse, or you have continuous or returning symptoms, you probably want to ask a doctor. Good Luck with your back and I hope that I could be of help.

Willowbark tea (with ginger), with a warm compress of Meadowsweet and peppermint tea on your back (the afflicted areas) daily (or as you see the need).

Try crushing spicy red peppers into a powder and putting it into the tea compress. Capsaicin, which is in spicy foods - most, if not all the time (gives it the spice flavor) - is a wonderful chemical for treating pain of any kind within the body by external use. You can also try making oil out of the peppers and rubbing that on your back.

I hope your back feels better :)
