Is Hecate my patron?
By:
Well, recentally I started researching different deities to try and find my patron/matron god/goddess and I sort of felt a connection to Hecate.
What struck me as odd was that the best day to work with her ect all matched those of my astrological sign (Virgo).
At first I just assumed it to be conicidence, but lately I have been seeing her animals everywhere (especially crows) and have even seen her in a dream.
Is it possible that Hecate is my patron? Or is it more likely that she is just trying to send me a message?
Please help! I'm new to a lot of this and could really use some guidance.

Is there something I should be doing? Because I keep getting the signs and stuff but nothing else happens. I feel like I should be doing something but I don't know what

It is entirely possible that Hecate may be your Patron. And if she is then you'll want to start making her welcome into your life and building that connection between the two of you.

First of all I would start by learning as much as you can about Hecate. Perhaps the best website on her can be found at http://www.theoi.com/Khthonios/Hekate.html Then consider holding a small ritual to her and ask her to come to you in dreams or meditation and make clear to you that she is your Patron. And remember, if she is your Patron you need to continue to build on that relationship by frequent devotional offerings and rituals.

A Classical offertory rite for Hekate is the deipnon . This is a supper offering held for the goddess on the last day of the lunar month (new moon) and was practiced in antiquity. Traditionally a meal of garlic, eggs, leeks, cheese, fish, bread and cake was taken to a triform crossroads and left for Hekate. The meal is not shared and the person leaving the meal at the crossroads must walk away without looking behind them. Leaving a deipnon at any liminal location (at a boundary, in a doorway or arch, etc) is a suitable substitute if a triform crossroads cannot be found.

Other suitable offerings to Hekate are wine, full cream milk, frankincense, saffron, poisonous herbs, and house sweepings.
