I agree with you. It seems like nowadays alot of people get egotistical with their experience and act as if they can site the rules of magick, when its up to the individual. Its likely never going to be a thing that leaves, its always nice to call them out on it and knock them down a notch ;)

I have to say that I agree. I have myself been trying to use the term fluffy much less and take the time to understand a persons view. However there are the few things that I can't get into like those who think they are really turning into a mermaid. I am trying more to educate rather than prod or pick, and be educated as well. Luckily I have seen more of this from older members and those also who are not so old.

I also hate absolutes, when someone says it has to be done this way, or you have to do that. Our paths are highly personal, we learn our way along and should not feel forced into this or that.

Usually those who have surrender to their ego or ignorance knock themselves down a couple of notches with out help from anyone else.

I believe in Fairies. Many traidtions and cultures believe in Dragons. Most people on here are uneducated on what magic and witchcraft truly is. They are lazy at studying and they expect to know and pracitce everything. Yes, I do get annoyed with all the vampire spells, and other fluffy stuff. They are just like that since they are uneducated. Hollywood has turned them the way they are. Although, they cannot be gagged nor banned, the best thing to do is mail them and educate them better.

I don't think fluffy is someone who has different opinions than me - it is someone with unrealistic expectations. Like you can fully believe that dragons, fae, and psi vampires exist. But if you post asking how to turn into a vampire or asking for help from " other people who are fairies" I might have to get snarky :3

Fluffies was a term originally to describe over-serious or self labeled 'master' Wiccans, though it looks like the tables have turned.
This term is so overbearingly stupid it actually hurts to see that people use it unironically. If someone has bad expectations, tell them ~politely~, if they do not listen, let them find out the hard way.

We were all once wide-eyed children. People come to this site, everyday annd from all over the world who practice all sorts of different things. I belive that in this case it is our diversity that brings us together, we have all thought things and we have all been corrected. We correlate together in hopes to learn new things, further ourselves in our study and perhaps to help others as well. Each person may carry their own opinion and beleif, and all we can do is nod our heads and hope that our beleif is true. Instead of constantly insulting and ignoring people who are 'Fluff' we should instead correct them and set them on the right path for we were all once knowledgeless and confused.

There are some valid points made here. I agree with a great many of them. I have no problems with practices that are traditions, or based on sound methods. Where I have a problem is when someone comes on, quoting things that obviously originate from a work of fiction, and expect to pass it off as real. Magic is easily explainable in scientific terms, but that is for another post.

Now, whith this part of my post please don't misunderstand and say that I have an attitude that I know it all and everything I do is right. Anyone who knows me knows that I am here to learn, study and grow and that means I am open to others views and knowledge, and I admit I don't have all the answers. That being said, I have been practicing magic for 23 years now, and meditation and energy work for closer to 30 and I current run a magical Lodge. In that time, I have learned that I do not have all the answers, that I have two ears and one mouth for a reason, and that the more I talk the less I learn. If you are upset that someone tells you "blood magic is evil" or whatever, and you reject what they say, are you not being just as closed minded? Is it not possible you are closing yourself off to valuable information? Are you willing to take that chance?

As always, just my humble opinion.

LVX,

Shawn.
