cannibalism will not give you superpowers, what it may give you is a prion disease, sort of like man cow disease for humans. It is also illegal in most countries.

There are people, who for some odd reason or another, actually drink blood. But they are not vampires- simply a human with odd tastes, I suppose. There is no such thing as a "physical vampire".

Ill add my two cents

It is my believe that on the astral plane vampiric spirits do exist. Meaning the spirits must continualy take energy from other spirits or physical people to maintain enough energy for them to function. These spirits seem to have a strong bond with death and the earth energies and to me they appear as how I would think a vampire would look. Ofcourse thats how I see them on the astral, it may be diffrent for others.

So for a lack of a better word I would call these spirits vampires.

There are myths in seemingly every culture about some vampire-like creature that drank blood to survive. The only credible source about blood drinking vampires I ever found was this website: (the author apparently inherited vampirism from his parents)

vampirewebsite.net

Besides that, energy vampires most certainly exist.

UH Vampire55 If you are 'familiar' with vampire lore ( yes look it up ) vampires 'exist' thru the spirit that 'animates it. A ' vampire' is NOT a normal person who happens to like and exist off of blood. If you 'drink' blood, you will get violently 'ill' as human bodies are not made to 'process' blood as food. No 'disrespect' to you but yes I've found the 'wisest' here ( all the ones who say they are vampires/werewolves/mermaids/demons etc etc ETC

@Krnshetty Human do NOT get superpowers from eating meat. Unless you talking about bodybuilders and yes they eat a LOT of meat but are NOT super just 'built'

@personified I 'saw' this thing with my own eyes and heard the bones break as it dragged its prey. How is it that 'others' are believed about the things they see 'yet' this is not ?? It gave off an 'evil ' dark force trust me it was NOT human ( the blood demon inside was very 'real' )

yes, but not how most people believe them to be. Yes Vampires are born, and there are physic vampires who absorb energy, anyone can be physic vampire, in my opinion because all you need is to be able to manipulate other peoples energy. Spellcaster, vampires are not spirits, and not all of us are evil beings that you think tham to be. Honestly in my opinion if you arent making it up just to hate on vampires, You could of seen some messed up spirit.

Its alright that he/she is curious, we all had questions like this at some point and anger certainly does not solve the solution. To answer your question, it really depends on your beliefs. There are people called 'psi vampires' that are said to take and sense energy from people. This is usually a horrible thing, these psi vampires usually report terribly unpredictable emotions from all the feelings they pick up from others.

Now, there are ritualistic vampires who, although certainly don't need it to survive, drink blood. They believe that the blood gives them power, energy. . . if you look at a scientific standpoint there are doing more harm than good. The blood negatively affects their physical bodies. These ritualistic vampires tend to say they are psychic vampires as well, capable of leeching energy from people and privately continuing the practice of drinking blood in more private areas like their homes.

Both of these types usually are people just looking for attention, drinking blood does NOT positively affect you (from a physical standpoint) and it is probably psychologically damaging to convince yourself it is healthy to do such a thing. I have a older friend around the age of 30 who claims to be this type of vampire, you wouldn't tell the difference from a normal bystander. They have their own beliefs just as we all do, do not hate or disrespect them for it; I'm sure we all have things people would wrongly judge us for.

But the vampires from the movies, no not real.

Here's my view on vampirism: (And like people have said before, not everyone has the same beliefs! These are just my personal beliefs!)

From the information I've gathered from all that I read, vampires are people that were born with a problem with their blood cells or the amount of them, so they need other people's blood to make them stronger, and they actually can gain some "powers" from drinking blood, but not that much, of course.

Vampires, because of their own blood cell problems, are cold and pale. Because they're cold, they can naturally live a little bit longer than a normal human, but are certainly not immortal! They cannot fly or turn into bats, they can jump higher and run faster and are smarter and have all 6 senses more enhanced, and better reflexes.

Vampires are not demons or demonic unless they choose to be. They have souls just like any body else. They are not dead, either.

Vampires are pretty much addicted to blood, but not to the point that they can't control their thirst. Vampires can live without blood, they just kind of lose their "powers" that they are supposed to gain from other people's blood.

Sunlight does affect vampires, but it just sunburns them a little more because of their blood cell problem and pale skin. The sun does not really hurt that much more for vampires than humans.

And lastly, vampires don't sparkle!!! Unless they bathe in glitter or something!

Any questions? I'd be happy to try and answer! And in case you're wondering, yes I am (probably) a vampire. Still kind of figuring it out, but being a vampire could explain why I kind of feel a connection to vampires, always have since I was little. And I also believe in psychic vampires.

There is a disease that causes people to drink blood, as a psychic (abnormal), and physical.
There are people, too cold, they have something to pipe circulation of blood disorder. Pale people - gamers are not facing the street for three months.
The reaction to the sun - yes. -was a rare disease, an allergy to the sun.

As for vampires, which are shown on tv ... oh I do not know, I do not know. I go to the cemetery as pnochyu not a vampire is not met.
understand how the structure of the body when a person wakes up to drink the blood of someone else then it will still be digested in the stomach.
This is complete nonsense.
For a normal life, even for patients do not need a blood meal!
The blood they drink from mental health problems, to improve the tone (some people), but this is rare, and for magical purposes.

children ... film. Twilight should not be allowed to be shown, and in general all modern movies that involve vampires, werewolves, immortal, and that fragile child psychology provides wonderful plans on becoming a vampire ...
