I don't know the other two but Voodoo spells come from the religion Vodun, in Western Africa. It was brought to Haiti by the slaves and it is one of the most common religions there. Most forms of Voodoo involve a central god who does not interfere, and the legions of spirits who serve him. In voodoo people beseech these spirits for aid.

Santeria is syncretic religion of West African and influenced by Roman Catholic and native traditions. Santeria is also used in Puerto Rico, Brazil, and areas in the U.S.
Obeah is referred to folk magic, or sorcery, also mainly used in West Africa, they use; charms, luck, and worships. Obeah is still used in; Jamaica, Dominica, Barbados, and other Caribbean countries
-These things are somewhat similar to, Palo and Voodoo
